. >> absolutely. >> obama care, all over the news recently obviously for obvious reasons. we had heard this week that fox news was reporting that senator harry reid exempted some of his staff from signing up for obama care. have you signed up and how was that experience for you? >> don't get me started. i'm still in a bad mood from doing that. i spent two hours on wednesday doing it. i had all of my information in, all of my most personal information so i hope they're not hacking into this from all over the country. i put all my information in and then i pushed the button to sign up for a plan and it went blank and i lost all my information. the other thing i found out is that when you try to learn about the individual insurance policies, you click on the view the plan to find out information, most of the time you get zero or a blank screen. occasionally you'll get information. so it is a really -- it's still an ownnerous task and i found i to be expensive. obama care is four times what i used to pay. when i was an individual physician i bought my own insurance, i paid one fourth as much as i'm

people, millions out of work and those what have given up looking for work. it's good news for the barack obama administration. with unemployment insurance to expire for 1.3 million if condepress doesn't act by the end. month, the white house is stuck in an ironic situation. they are arguing for an end to the cut if growth improves, gdp, in the last court, and down to 7% on friday, the lowest in five years. the administration says unemployment insurance has to be extended. white house spokesman jay carney made the case on friday afternoon. >> the news we have today reinforces that we need to address the problem and extend the unemployment insurance benefits to those individuals. this is a persistent problem. it would be terrible to tell more than a million families across the country, a few days after christmas, that they are out of benefit, that we hope that congress will, as it has in the past, address the challenge. >> one of the more interesting things about the economic numbers, the good economic numbers is they haven't improved - the unemployment rate went down despite the gridlock

newspapers focus on what's happening with obama care right now. the "new york times" is claiming that insurers say the health care website is still flawed. the "wall street journal" says that connecticut is considering bypassing some of the back ends just to check to make sure that people are actually residents and whether or not they would qualify for a lot of the aid. and with the deadline approaching january 1st for when a lot of the health insurance plans were supposed to kick in for consumers, it leaves a lot of questions. how would you say things have gone so far? and how confident are you of things up and running by january 1st? >> well, i'm not going to get a nobel prize for observing, it hasn't gone well. to establish an insurance exchange at the federal level is an exceptionally difficult job and to forecast it's going to be as good as amazon. you just had a conversation about people trying to catch up with amazon, the government's not likely to be able to do that ever. >> pretty low bar. >> no -- >> for the peace prize. doesn't take much. >> for the peace prize, right.
